A Photo Documentary about foreign exploration

Comentary
The idea of American travelers in foreign countries is not welcomed by many, even more so if they are Black Americans like my brother and I. Documenting my travel experiences and being mindful of what is happening on these trips is something I already did subconsciously, so making the leap toward photo documentation was not particularly hard from a mindset standpoint. Each photo in the book has a caption describing the story behind the image or what I was thinking when editing the photo. Being able to step into a perspective is more than just a photo, but rather what that photo means or is capturing.
Design
I loved a lot of the design language I saw while in Italy, not specifically the roman typefaces and architecture, but even the modernist design from all around the cities of Rome, Bologna, and Venice. Stretching the personality of the trip to the design of the documentary book required a more stripped back page layout as to really focus on the images.
